Buffalo Snowjam
Reported June 27th, 2002

Last weekend, the Molson Canadian Snowjam made its second annual stop in Buffalo, NY. For two days, a variety of music played on the music stage, and action sports athletes threw down at their respective sports. The main stage of the event was not the music, but the 20 foot quarterpipe with a 6 story inrun.

Both Steven Clark, and Eric Bauer attended Snowjam on Saturday, however, Garrett Getter was unable to make it either days. The skiing was sick with Dave Crichton, Rex Thomas, and Mauro Nunez battling it out. Dave Cricthon took first with a huge flatspin 7 with a critical grab. Rex Thomas threw down well, but not good enough to take first. Mauro Nunez, from Spain, who rides for Head appeared to have been shoke up after a crash during warm-ups early on Saturday as he never seemed to recover completely.

The music was a diverse line-up ranging from the metal-punk sound of Injected starting things out, to the bagpipe rock of the Mudmen, to the smooth hip-hop stylings of Pharcyde, to the punk of The Suicide Machines, and closing up with Bif Naked.

Overall, great skiing, some good music, all for the great price of . Not a bad deal.

Snowstorm Hits Buffalo in the Middle of July
Reported June 25th, 2002

The molson Canadian Snowjam will be stopping in Buffalo from July 19th, to the 20th. This two day festival will feature a full line up of music on top of skiers and snowboarders throwing down on the 6 story quarterpipe. There will also be skateboading, inline aggressive skating, and BMX.

The Molson Canadian Snowjam will be held at HSBC arena this year. The Huckdoll Wanna-Be's will be there as a group. If you plan on being there, contact either Steven Clark, or Garrett Getter.

I will have the band list and the admission prices as soon as they become available.
